The Fallenash saga began in 2012, however the Fallenash story began many many years prior to that. Khris Thayer (Vocals, Guitar, Songwriter), Steve Sliva (Drums), and Kevin Mitchell (Bass) grew up playing music together on the Texas Gulf Coast. Thayer and Sliva were in the band, Innersphere (an Indie-Alternative, Prog-Rock band), from 1998 to 2003. During that same time frame, Mitchell was playing bass in the band, SplitFinger (an Alt-Metal-Rock band) . Throughout that six year period, both bands shared stages throughout Texas and surrounding areas until Thayer disbanded Innersphere in 2003 and relocated to San Francisco. Thayer, Sliva, and Mitchell continued playing music for a while in a variety of different bands as well as simply taking a hiatus from music altogether and pursuing other interests from 2003 until 2012.
In 2012, fate brought these 3 guys back together in Austin, TX and they have been making music ever since!
Original Band Member lineup also included Filo Guerrero (lead guitar), childhood friend of Sliva's and a musician that Thayer had grown up watching and always looking up to. Filo brought his "Santana-like" guitar playing talent to the band, co-writing all of the guitar parts on Fallenash's debut album, The Backyard Symphony, in 2015. 2016, Filo left the band due to other obligations but remains a big part of the Fallenash family and performs guest appearances from time to time. (You DO NOT want to miss those shows!)
In 2016, Dave Erickson replaced Filo Guerrero as Fallenash lead guitarist. Erickson has a colorful musical background, playing for many bands across the country and now co-writes songs alongside Thayer.
